A Second With The Joy Formidable

Part of an ongoing personal project.

The Joy Formidable are one of my favourite bands to photograph. Having first Photographed them at Dot To Dot back in 2011 I was excited to try and catch a date on this tour.
It didn’t disappoint and was one of those shows where you find yourself staring at your computer trying to cull your edit down and can’t because you got so many good shots. I love shows like this. It was also only made possible by Ritzy sorting out my pass and restoring my faith in shooting live music.
I Am Kloot live at The Junction, Cambridge. Click to see more photos.
I Am Kloot was my first proper shoot of 2013. Support came from the California-born, Manchester-dwelling singer -songwriter Jesca Hoop. It was good to get back to shooting live music again after a small winter hibernation. I Am Kloot played a great show, which made for a great start to 2013.
PHOTO NOTES.
This was nice and simple to shoot. Good front lighting throughout the first three, meant it was an easy way for me to shake of the rust and get back into shooting live music after my extended Christmas break.
