Kate Nash Live at The Rescue Rooms Nottingham.
27 March 11
Kate Nash has a mission statement with this tour, to get young females making music. Her set tonight was preceded by a video all about the subject. Nash is launching a project called "The Kate Nash Rock and Roll After School Music Club for Girls".
The aim of the project is inspire girls to start making music. This is truly an amazing project that will hopefully inspire the next generation of female musicians in the UK.

PHOTO NOTES
Tonights show was a blessing lighting wise. A lot of nice white light throughout the first 3. There were some reds and blues in the backlighting. Overall the light was a little dull but clean. Seemingly this is something the Rescue Rooms does well as most gigs I have shot here tend to do the same, it is possibly my favourite live venue in the country
The only problem I have with shooting their is that after the first three you are pretty well trapped stage side of the barrier. Obviously this is great is you want to chill and watch the show, but if you need to get out of the venue there is no alternative to upsetting people as you push back the barrier and force your way through a usually packed out crowd.
