Carl Spring

 

The last time I saw Gomez was 10 years ago in Australia when I blagged passes from a promoter under the guise of being a photographer. 10 years later I actually made good on this and shot Gomez at the Cambridge Junction for Drowned in Sound.

 

A good show, great lighting but a very quick first 3. The night was a mixture of material spanning their career which makes you think about how many good songs Gomez have put out over the years. Support was from Newcastle's Little Comets who put on a great show, even if the communication between band and audience proved difficult due to the North/South accent divide.

 

It was a good show and one I stayed around to catch rather than leaving after the first 3. This show brought back memories of some great friends and some great times.
