Before all the Britan's got talent stories kicked off last weekend I photographed Frisky and Mannish at Lincoln Drill Hall.
Before all the Britan's got talent stories kicked off last weekend I photographed Frisky and Mannish at Lincoln Drill Hall.
Most of my photography these days centres around music, but the way I got into photography though was through skateboarding. I was (and still am) a skate rat. I started shooting photos of my friends when we went skating. This got overcome by video after a while, but I always shot a roll of film every now and then (my skate roots go back pre digital).
Chas and Dave are on the road together for one last time. The band who have been around since the 70's (Their breakthrough single "Gertcha" was released in 79) and have been a UK staple ever since.
For me this was a bucket list shoot. My Grandma's favourite band, and one that brought back the memories of listening to this with her on a Saturday afternoon as a kid. This one was for you Gran!

PHOTO NOTES
This was a simple shoot in terms of the lighting changing very little. The only problem was the amount. I found this show needed me to go to iso3200. This was in part due to the fact that i was shooting on a 70-200 f4. This shoot again shows me I need f2.8 on a longer zoom, the only sticking point is price. Anyone from Canon feel like helping out on this, please do! A show that has no issues for those who may be shooting it.
Here as promised is the full set from Bowling for Soup's An Acoustic Evening with Jaret and Erik.
I think I said everything about this show in the preview post, so click HERE to view the full gallery
Not much else to say apart from that if you are the girl who is in these pics who is up on stage and you want a copy of your pics, please email me and I will send over the pics of you on stage with the band.
Bowling for Soup's Jaret and Erik returned to Lincoln last night as part of their "An acoustic evening with" tour in promotion of the bands upcoming album "Fishin for Woos".
The support acts for the show were Linus of Hollywood, Erik Chandler and People on Vacation. Each act either featured or had an appearance from one of tonight's headliners and the time between acts was virtually non existent due to it being a one mic and two guitar setup.
The whole evening was very relaxed compared to a full Bowling for Soup show, but the fans sang along to every note and the band seemed to all enjoy themselves. A lot of banter, a few in jokes, it all added up to making this show fun to shoot.
The photos of Jaret and Erik will be up in a few day, but you can see a gallery of the support acts by clicking HERE
